Allen Center

Reimagining
Allen Center

Brookfield Properties completed Phase I in 2017 and now embarks to complete the reimagination of Allen Center. Phase II includes the addition of signature restaurant Guard & Grace, the repositioning of the hotel, targeted retail, and multi-building upgrades and amenities that foster an active, pedestrian-friendly environment on the west side of downtown.

The Project

The Reimagining of Allen Center continues with renovations at Two and Three Allen Center. Further include renovations at Two and Three Allen Center in downtown Houston. Capitalizing on the successful renovation of One Allen Center, plans for Phase II include the addition of signature restaurant Guard & Grace, the repositioning of the hotel, targeted retail, and multi-building upgrades and amenities that foster an active, pedestrian-friendly environment on the west side of downtown. Phase II delivery is estimated for late 2020.

Specifically, renovations for Two Allen Center include a new two-story lobby, second floor outdoor terrace, and updated retail bays and tenant mix. Three Allen Center will feature a renovated lobby as well as a new shower and locker facility. Renovated elevator lobbies and elevator cabs will be created for both buildings and a new sky bridge connection between Two and Three Allen Center.

History

Formerly the site of the West End Park during the early 20th Century, the area that became the Allen Center was originally considered to be an eastern portion of the Fourth Ward.
